Promaster 55mm UV HGX Prime

The multicoating on this filter is noticeably better than cheaper ones—no weird reflections even shooting into the sun. It threads onto my lens smoothly and feels solid without being heavy. Money well spent for keeping the front element clean.

I was skeptical about spending this much on a filter, but the ground and polished glass is noticeably clearer than the cheap ones I've used before. It threads on smoothly and hasn't affected image sharpness at all.

I dropped this filter onto my favorite lens by accident—was sure it would scratch, but the glass held up perfectly. The ground-and-polished finish feels premium in hand, and now my outdoor shots have noticeably less haze.
