Effortless freedom

The Sigma 16-28mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary Lens for Leica L is a versatile and high-performance ultrawide zoom lens that provides a great range of focal lengths in a small and lightweight package. It features a fast f/2.8 constant aperture that allows for the use of faster shutter speeds in low light scenarios, and its shallow depth of field makes it ideal for closeup shots. This lens also utilizes a complex arrangement of specialized aspherical and low dispersion glass elements to effectively suppress chromatic aberration and produce stunningly sharp and clear images.

Uncompromising optical performance within a compact body

Integrating three FLD and four SLD elements, this zoom achieves an impressive level of correction for aberrations throughout the zoom range. Super Multi-Layer and Nano Porous Coatings have also been applied to improve contrast and color rendering by reducing lens flare and ghosting when working in strong lighting conditions. The inner zoom & focus mechanism keeps the dimensions of the lens constant throughout the zoom range and at all focus distances. This design feature allows for almost no balance point shift and a fixed front element, making it an ideal instrument for videography, travel, and landscape photography.

Aurora ★★★★★

This ultra-wide zoom is incredibly compact for what it offers; I can easily slip it into a small bag with my L-mount body. The constant f/2.8 aperture makes low-light shooting feel effortless.

Jacob A. ★★★★★

The f/2.8 aperture is surprisingly sharp across the frame even at 16mm, and the lens hood fits securely without adding bulk. I’ve been getting clean shots indoors with less light than I expected. A solid performer for ultrawide work.

Ryan W. ★★★★★

I’ve been impressed by how much lighter this ultrawide zoom feels compared to my older setup—definitely easier to carry around all day. Even with the constant f/2.8, it’s sharp across the frame, and the 16mm end gives me plenty of room to work with indoors.
