I can finally light up my subject's eyes without blasting them with a flash; this silver-white combo lets me bounce soft fill into shadows really easily. It folds down small enough to slip into my camera bag pocket, which is a lifesaver for outdoor shoots.

The 12-inch size is perfect for squeezing into my bag, and the silver side throws a surprising amount of light into shadowed faces when I’m shooting outdoors. It unfolds and snaps flat in seconds, so I actually use it instead of leaving it at home.

This silver/white disc does exactly what it should — the silver side adds a nice punchy catchlight for portraits, while the white gives a softer fill. Folds down small enough to slip into my camera bag without any fuss.
