Paterson Micro Focus Finder

The Paterson Micro Focus Finder is designed to magnify the image projected onto the enlarger baseboard, allowing the grain structure of the negative to be precisely focused before exposing the printing paper. The adjustable eyepiece can be fine-tuned to individual eyesight by moving it up or down until the crosshair appears sharp, and then locking it in place with the provided screw. Additionally, a sliding shutter protects the internal mirror when the finder is not in use.

Samuel ★★★★★

The little eyepiece makes a huge difference—I can finally see the grain clearly on my 35mm negatives without squinting. Focus is now spot-on every time.

Sebastian ★★★★★

The built-in reticle makes focusing on the grain structure so much easier than just using my naked eye. Even on a dense negative, I can dial in tack-sharp focus in seconds.

Lucy B. ★★★★★

The image snaps into razor-sharp focus almost instantly with this—the grain just pops on the baseboard, and my prints have never been crisper. It’s sturdy enough to sit still while I’m fiddling with the enlarger knobs, which is exactly what I needed.
