Technical details

With apochromatic correction, this lens minimizes chromatic aberration to ensure that every detail is rendered naturally and accurately. Additionally, no falloff at the edges will occur at full aperture thanks to the MTF curves. That means this lens will give you sharp images with superb corner-to-corner detail rendition each and every time.

Adam Q. ★★★★★

Even shooting wide open at f/2, the detail in tree bark across the street is razor-sharp, and the colors have an almost three-dimensional richness I've never seen before. It's incredibly heavy for such a compact lens, but the metal gray finish feels solid and precise in the hand.

John J. ★★★★★

The bokeh is so smooth it feels like the background just melts away, and the sharpness wide open is honestly unreal for a 50mm. I’ve had it on the camera every day since it arrived, and the metal gray finish looks even better in person than online.

Ruby F. ★★★★★

I’ve been shooting with this lens for a week now, and the way it renders color separation at f/2 is unlike anything I’ve used before. The apochromatic correction really does vanish chromatic aberrations in harsh backlight. It’s heavy on the M body but worth every gram.
