I was pleasantly surprised by how stiff the arm stays once you tighten the knobs—no sagging at all with my speedlight attached. The knurled grips make adjustments quick and easy even with one hand.

The ball head locks down tight without any creep, which is exactly what I needed for holding a small LED panel at awkward angles. Fits right onto my existing tripod clamp and hasn't loosened once during a two-hour shoot.

I needed a way to hold a speedlight off to the side without a second stand, and this arm's flexible segments let me position it exactly where I wanted. The locking mechanism feels solid even when I've got a decent-sized modifier attached.
