Promaster Umbrella Soft Box - Reflector 40”

Setup really is a breeze with this thing, and the way it blends the umbrella’s easy positioning with that soft, even soft box glow makes a huge difference in my portraits. I’ve used it for three shoots already and the light stays consistent, no hot spots at all.

I was a bit skeptical about how soft the light would actually be, but this umbrella soft box gives beautifully even diffusion without any harsh hotspots. The 40-inch size is perfect for portraits, and collapsing it back down is just as quick as setting it up.

Setup took me maybe two minutes, and the light it throws is genuinely soft and even right out of the gate—perfect for portraits in a small room. The umbrella design means it folds down fast, so I’m actually taking it on location shoots now.
