The f2.8 aperture is sharp wide open, and the zoom ring has a nice, smooth resistance. It’s barely bigger than my palm, which makes it perfect for tossing in a jacket pocket on hikes.

I was honestly surprised by how compact this lens is—it fits easily in my bag even with the hood on. The f2.8 aperture is consistent across the whole zoom range, which made low-light indoor shots much easier than I expected. It's become my go-to for travel and tight spaces.
