Promaster Scout Series SCM426 Monopod

I was pleasantly surprised how stable this monopod feels even fully extended—the reversible mounting screw is a nice touch for swapping out heads quickly. It locks down tight without any wobble, perfect for my telephoto lens.

The flip-locks snap into place with a satisfying click, making setup almost as fast as a twist-lock system. I’ve been using it for hiking shots and the reversible screw let me attach my favorite small ball head in seconds.

I was worried the sections might wobble, but the 4-section design feels really solid once locked. The reversible mounting screw is a nice touch, letting me swap between my small ball head or just using the bare 1/4-20 thread.
