Promaster PP UMBRELLA-BLACK/WHITE-36"

The build quality on this 36-inch umbrella is noticeably sturdier than the cheap ones I've used before, and the black/white reversible fabric gives me a lot of control over light diffusion. It fits perfectly in the included carrying case, which is a real bonus for keeping it safe in my gear bag.

The 36-inch size is perfect for softening a single portrait subject, and the build quality feels sturdy enough for regular studio use. Opened and closed it several times right out of the box, and the ribs seem solid.

The storage case that comes with this is surprisingly sturdy—makes it easy to keep the umbrella clean between shoots. The black/white fabric feels high-quality and diffuses light nicely for portraits.
