I was worried an ultra-wide would feel too gimmicky, but the 9mm focal length is surprisingly natural for street shots and the fast f/1.7 really helps in dim interiors.

The f/1.7 aperture makes handheld low-light shots a breeze, and the ultra-wide angle fits an entire room without me stepping back. Autofocus is snappy and silent, which I appreciate for street photography.

I’m still grinning at how tiny this thing is for an ultra-wide, and the f/1.7 lets me shoot indoors without cranking the ISO. The 9mm focal length makes even my cramped kitchen look like a spacious studio, and the focus ring has just the right amount of resistance.
