Grabbed one for a shoot last week to hold a reflector card steady, and the grip is surprisingly strong even with the clamp fully extended. The rotating head makes it easy to angle the light just right without loosening.

I needed something to hold a gel in front of my studio light, and these clamps grip firmly without slipping. They also work great for clamping gobos into position.

Used one to secure a small reflector card during an outdoor shoot and it held firm even with a light breeze. The spring tension feels just right—strong enough to grip tightly, but not impossible to open one-handed.
