I was surprised how much the measuring cylinder and thermometer add to the confidence of mixing chemicals right the first time. The tank feels solid and loads easily in the dark.

Finally, I can develop my own rolls at home without needing a full darkroom setup. The chemical bottles have measurement marks that make mixing really straightforward. For the price, this kit saves you from hunting down individual pieces.

Setting up the kit was straightforward enough, though I wish the developing tank came with a second reel for doing two rolls at once. It has everything a beginner needs to start processing black and white film right out of the box.
