Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM

This little lens is so light I almost forgot it was in my bag, yet the f/1.8 aperture lets me shoot indoors without a flash. The STM motor is whisper-quiet during video, and the sharpness wide open surprised me for the price.

Fast autofocus even in dim evening light. For $200 you get sharp portraits with that creamy bokeh background I always wanted. Perfect walkaround lens.

I’ve been carrying this lens around on daily walks because it’s so light it barely adds any weight to my bag. The f/1.8 aperture gives that creamy background blur I was hoping for, and it’s become my go-to for quick street shots.
